That hardy Wye is a strong rod. As far as snake guides go, you can use whatever you think will be good on the rod, maybe try 9-11 snakes and a pair of stripping guides? Try to have the spacing between the guides always increasing from tip to butt and placenthe guides on the rod for an even flex/stress/bend between the guides along the length of the rod when loaded/flexed.
