All I want for christmas is a spey rod

After my fishing trip this weekend, I have to get a spey rod, my wife claims that im whispering spey in my sleep. heres the problem No cash !!!!!!! whats a man to do!!!!!!!! I do think I have enough gear that I can trade for a rod but I realy have no clue what its worth.   do you think a marryat mr8 in great condition with extra spool is worth $200 if not whats it worth......Nate

Ah yes. "The Spey Bug" has a very nasty bite. A good place to follow for buying/selling fishing gear is the vfs market place and auction site. fe

Welcome to the fold, and thanks to FE for showing this poor soul the light. Ha! Ha!   Try posting adds ond VFS www.flyshop.com and www.flyfish.com also the steelhard site which is mostly Great Lakes area has a Forum for selling, swaping, buying equipment. With a little luck and some creative wording you may be able to work out a swap for a Spey rod.
