Fair Warning - Rules Change

As many of you have witnessed over the last several months, it has become more and more common for threads to deteriorate into p*ssing matches back and forth until the thread needs to be locked down or deleted. For a number of years, the Speypages has prided itself on being a “civilized” site where hard core spey fishers and casters could come and share thoughts, opinions and most importantly get information about facets of the sport.

Since it appears that our repeated general warnings have not communicated the message about civility and decorum, the staff here will be taking a harder line on this behavior. If we see disrespectful posts or trolling posts, we will be banning offenders for 10 days. After the ban expires, any repeat of the behavior will result in a permanent ban from the site.

There will be no debate or arguing about the intent of the post or the resulting action. This will apply to all including long time members, Speypages supporters and our resident “experts”. The rules are simple, treat others with respect or leave.
