Fiery Black -or just another black and orange fly-

Well, yesterday my friend Guillermo came visit at home. He's a big fan of the two handed rod and also a member of these forums, but he's not much prone to write in english. Well, we were talking about our flies and he asked me about the kind of hackle we use, so i've just tied up this fly for him and to show him how the technique is done.

Just used what i had at hand

Hook: Partridge Bartleet Traditional, CS10/1 size 4
Tag: Silver oval tinsel.
Body: 2/3 Orange silk, 1/3 black squirrel dubbing in a loop.
Rib: Flat silver tinsel (wide) and medium golden oval.
Hackle: Black saddle, one side stripped.
Collar: a couple of turns with the same feather as the hackle. An orange dyed ringeck pheasant rump feather.
Wings: four black saddle hackle heathers.
Head: Black.

Thanks for watching

Cheers
Rob

Thank you, Frank As you can see, i'm still making good use of those dyed pheasant rumps you've sent me, i wish i could get those around here, i guess i will have to get a pheasant skin and dye them myself. Did found a nice commercial dye lately that could easily get the job done, they has very nice colors too. Should i bleach the feathers before dyeing them?
