Just a closing thought...

Ironic isn't it, that when copious numbers of fish swam the world's rivers, that competition just became downright ugly vis a vis Schaadt versus Lindner...now with fewer fish to pursue, competition begets camaraderie...

Long Live Spey O Rama!

Thank you Donna and all the GGACC staff!

It is a challenging but better, no doubt, world that we live in!

I would like to thank CARRON,CND and Cookie Monster for bringin some GREEEAAAAT 18 footers to drool on/cast
The new CND ultimate 18 lived up to the CND SWEET CASTIN CODE of ETHICS
The CARRON 18 was typical-Oh how I love it one of my top 5 favorite's
And Cookjie monster brought his Clan 18-also on my top 5

Spey-O-Rama 2009

Well done to George Nitikin some great photographs there which capture the moment during the weekend.
Michael Parsons I never got the opportunity to thank you for your contribution over the weekend, you done a great job, thank you.

A few things that reinforced to me how enthusiastic the people are in the United States about all things "Spey" were the number of entrants into the competition 32 male entries and 5 female entries.A tribute to the Spey communities out there and a big hats of to the GGACC commitee organisers and helpers.

Dedication who owns this?

Carron Team wheels after a grafitti artist spray painted it the night before

Speycasting makes you hungry, you guys have a Cookie Monster on your side of the pond we have Andrew Toft the Pizza King over here.

There was a RAP theme at the ponds this weekend, with a newcomer to the scene Jamie was her name,Travis good luck keeping her tame

Jamie the Rapper "No you di-dnt" Scottish response was "Aye ye did"

Carron Rap Team

On a final note the winner of the balcony casting competition at the Motel was Iain Gardner who also won the Jetlag contest hands down.

A big thank you to our good friends Tommy and Mikey Costello from the city, without you guys our trip would not be the same, good luck with your wedding plans Mikey and look out Tommy when your newborn arrives in October the fun will be over for you.See you for the next edition of Royal Rumble next year thanks again.

Big Tommy rubber legs at the rear.

Finally I would like to say a big thank you to Jimmy and Gwyneth Jack for their generosity in supporting our visit to Spey o Rama again with a 6 man team.
Looking forward to returning to an even bigger and better event in 2010.

"2 Spey" belongs to Gary Anderson, the master in building spey rods with those beautifully crafted wood handles that is an art form in its own right!
