Question Fibatube 11' # 5/6/7 line

Hi all,
planning to build this blank into a "mini-spey" rod, but what line do you recommend for it ?
I'm thinking Windcutter spey 6/7/8 ??

Thanks

These are quite old blanks produced by Hardy's. They are a quite soft, through action. I have the 11ft 6in model of the same line size and it must be nearly 20 years old. I think it would break with even the lightest windcutter available. If you want to spey cast with this rod try a double taper #6, a TT5 or an Airflo delta 5/6 (Not the spey model). The rod was designed as a Loch style model i.e. for fishing in Lochs/Lakes from a drifting boat for trout, sea trout or salmon.

Thanks Ritchie,
I'll try a DT 6 on it. I'll only be using it for floating lines at short distances so the DT is a good - and cheaper - alternative.
