braided loops..?

Used to buy some great braided loops off an Ebay seller, 6" tails, large loops, unfortunately no longer available. Source recommendations for some salmon strength braided connectors?

Are you talking about the Kevlar braided loops?

Why don't you just make your own out of 50# braided mono? The cost is minimal, plus you can make one in less then 5 minutes and have any size loop and tail you want.

How you get the line out and fishing is personal preference so as long as it works and is easy no one should care but the caster. MSB

I agree with MJC. He talked me into buying his 50# braided mono, I got a very large sewing needle from the art and crafts store, and I haven't looked back. Also, never had one fail, even the earlier uglier ones I made. Now they are perfect looking and of course, still strong as can be.

Agree with haunted's post. Red Shed has a kit for loops that has everything you need. There is also some great info on several threads here. I did not want to go to the trouble of making my own or thought they would not work well, but after buying the kit and fooling around I found it very easy to make good loops. It is easy and fast.

Then you obviously don't have time to go fish, so don't worry about it.

loops found

found a supplier on line, fly fishing guide in the SF bay area who chases striped bass, and ordered a dozen. Now just gotta finish moving into our new house, getting the old one on the market, and it will be time for tidewater King salmon on the fly

surfnfish

The sound of king salmon on the fly in tidewater makes me a little envious.

This process sucked the life out of me for the past 3-4 months. It seems my "Angler's Deferred Home Maintenance Plan" eventually demanded payback. Who knew?

best of luck with your move

Wink thanks

for the feedback. Good folks wading hereabouts.

yea, found a nice place to slide into retirement, sitting on a trout lake a few miles inland from the piece of coast I surf, favorite tidewater salmon river just up the road.

It's all gone by so fast, hoping to slow roll it going forward...want to savor however much sand is left in the hourglass.
