Recovering a Lost River: Removing Dams, Rewilding Salmon, Revitalizing Communities

I read Reed Burkholder's book about the economics of removing the lower Snake River dams years ago and have kept up on the politics of the issue ever since. Steve Hawley has done an excellent job researching the background on the dams and the biology of the fish on the Columbia. I wouldn't call it an easy read but a good read. It'll make you sick to read what this fishery once once...
