Picked up this stick a few months ago. Love it. A beast when lined with a 500 -525gr scandi head. Airflo or any other manufacture. Poppy can help u out. I got recommendations from some credible guys on this site that use Guideline quite a bit. Enjoy.

On the LeCie rod you have the rec weight is on the heads 24-26 grams, 370-400 grains. You can go with a 8/9 line and cut it to the prefered weight and you will end up with a line around 10.3 meters. If you want longer line just go with a 7/8 line and that one will be around 11.7 meters. I can say these rods love the 3D lines. Good luck!

I use 450 grain Scandi on the 13'7" 8/9. They are great rods. Dave

Your casting style and personal taste will dictate final length & weight preference.
thegrappler has it right in his posting. Best option is to trial different [any brand within tolerence zone] heads on it before purchase of your new set. Helps to zero in the feel your looking for. Dave, I almost didn't catch the 8/9 part. I have same rod also, great piece of equipment.. so light in hand.

Don't overline it. I have the 13' 7" 7/8 and happily use the AFS Outbound 6/7 on it. The Guideline website will have recommendations for cutting shooting heads.

I like the Airflo Deltas 7/8 multitips and the Ian Gordon short intermediate.
For scandi heads I go with 400 grains. My most loved combo is a Delta long head looped to a Flat Beam running line.

If you are going to do mostly air-born casts use the Power Taper line that is recommended for your rod on the Guideline website. If you are going to do water-born casts mostly, and prefer a fuller load, then go one line weight up. An excellent line that will do both very well is the DDC connect multi-tip line. Use the weight that is recommend for your rod on the Guideline web site. Cheers,
