Double hook choice

Would you rather fish with a hook with the eye up or down? And why?

Whammo!

PS: Topher Browne in his book ''Atlantic Salmon Magic'' said that he always tied on LOOP double hook down eye hook...

I like a straight eye double hook, which I use with tubes. It fits nicely into the tube and can be tied to the tippet with a loop and still get a straight pull.

I'm a sucker for a down eye double. The loops are my favorite, but any double will do. I usually try to go "down eyes on sunk flies" ......

I could go on about the angle of the fly when you set the hook and more effective, blah, blah, blah..... but the bottom line for me--- THEY JUST LOOK COOLER
