James Chalmers

Sad state of affairs !!!! I heard that James is no longer associated with Carron Rods at this time. It explains why I have had difficulty contacting him. He is such an incredible ambassador to the sport. Lots of questions.

James is one in a million, great rod designer, great line designer, great ambassador, great friend and a great guy!! His departure is a huge loss for Carron.

I think it best to just wait and be patient. There have been no official statements and anything other than that is merely conjecture. James will speak when the time is right.

Gene, I couldn't have said it better. Sit, talk, share a single malt .... and talk. Mesmerizing minutes in the Motor Home. Few minutes later we had 22 in for dinner. Carron Crew were bunked out in the MH. The 'employer?

If you've never met "Jimmie Jack" and wife Gwenneth, you've miss a treat. First time I met them, zero clue 'who they were,' She looks at me and says 'We need to go to dinner, or what do you have on board (the MH).

Lots.

She was the 'sheff-et,' skip the spelling, and we knocked a dinner out for all. Simple, but filling. Dear God did we laugh, and laugh.

"Anything else in the frig/cooler?"

She/I cleaned the whole thing out; and laughed and laughed. After the all, gave her a huge hug and told her she was one 'very cool Lady.' Little did I know.

Day later I was asked if I could drive the Fellows to Sea-Tac for their plane (JJ+G were flying out earlier that AM and had a rental car.) 'No sweat, get them ''To the Church on time.'' Driving the Fellows to the airport and got an education.

End Game is if you're on the Carron Team, you've got something exceptional going for you.

No idea if JJ/G will ever see this, but if you do? You really are exceptional people.

How you get the line out and fishing is personal preference so as long as it works and is easy no one should care but the caster. MSB
