new TFO scandi

I cast a prototype TFO Pro series they labeled a 12' 9" in 6 weight. Felt like its going to be an excellent scandi/summer greaseline rod. It feels to be more elegant with floating lines than the stubbier feeling but still very nice 12'6" 6wt. The top 1/4 was thin, refined, graceful, delicate, and recovered very fast but maintained plenty of power. The rod felt more like a 7 weight at the butt. There was no scandi line around at the time to try on it just a short skagit which was awkward and clunky. If it sells for 3 bills its something to look at.

I just reduced price in classifieds, IMHO the best scandi rod on the planet, T&T 1308 in new shape for $550, includes shipping!

That is one sweet little stick. Super sweet with an airflo rage and floating or sinking tip.

The G.loomis stinger 15 '#10/11 and 12'6" # 9 / 10 are my favorite rods for Scandinavian style casting.

Can't decide on one. The 12'6 #8 S rod and the 13'6 #9 S rod are top dog's with the 13' TR closely behind.

Beulah Classic

I have been using the Beulah Classic 12'7 with a 450 compact scandi and for heavy duty scandi the NW skagit 480 gr over 32' flys well.

I like my Hardy Swift 13' 8wt with a 470 Ballistic Express line. I like the length of this line a lot and how it cast with polyleaders of different sink rate.

a sweet set up with a swift MKii reel and mono running line.
