Hi Andy, this brings back great memories for me, I was born and raised in N Wales and learned to fly fish on the River Clywd. We used to fish all night for Sewin just below St Aspah, I had some fun times on that river.I fished all the traditional patterns at first and then i read Sea Trout Fishing by Hugh Falkus and i changed to all his patterns, they worked for me!!. I still have a box of them i tied up over 20 years ago,man time passes,i must get back there and wet a line, that would be fun.I tell you when i was growing up back there i had no idea i would end up living in Central Oregon and guiding on the Deschutes River, life throws some curves at you.J D both spellings are right,it is not uncomon to have the English and the Welsh Spellings for towns in Wales, they just say them different.tight lines, brian |
